Bird Watching

Bird watching has become the most popular spectator sport in America - and Woodward boasts some of the best locations to watch. More than half of North America’s 800-plus bird species have been recorded in Oklahoma at one time or another, including the rare Lesser Prarie Chicken.

Birding is a rewarding pursuit that can be combined with a number of other out door activities including hiking, boating or fishing.  The map below indicates some of the best birding locations offered in the Woodward area.
