This week our Spotlight is focused on...
With Spring on the horizon (we hope), it’s a perfect time to start thinking about getting out those dusty gardening gloves and spades and get to work on your personal springtime welcome! As you ponder on all the ways you might be able to add enchantment and wonder to your garden this year…maybe pink azaleas or yellow tulips or white roses or even purple hyacinth…you might want to stop by JW’s Nursery as they will most definitely be able to assist in creating your perfect little sanctuary.
JW’s Nursery has been lending their landscaping expertise to the Woodward and surrounding communities since 1989. Whether it be a personal sanctuary or taking care of that stubborn crab grass problem for good, owner, Jason Covalt, utilizes his Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture from Oklahoma State University as well as his passion for creating unique items for each customer to assist in your every need. A strong focus on customer service is something JW’s employees pride themselves on. Oftentimes a customer might come in with a specific vision in mind. Jason will take the time to listen to the customer and create a personalized landscaping design for them. Jason says “My favorite thing to do is to take a concept from a customer, draw up a landscape, present it to them and see their face light up. After that, of course, my favorite thing is to bring that idea to life starting from the design concept to the final product.” Jason has even driven by old projects just to see how they have progressed through the years.
JW’s is not only a great place to get a personalized landscaping design. It also lends its assistance to that home gardener that might be looking for particular seeds or maintenance materials. One of the bestselling items for March is actually crab grass control…which can take care of sandburs and, as many people in Northwest Oklahoma know, can be a huge problem when you are striving for that perfect lawn! JW’s also has a variety of selections of pots and planters (our favorite was a beautiful natural rock turned into a planter!).
If you are more interested in the decorating aspect of your garden, JW’s also has a variety of beautiful and, again, unique garden, indoor and outdoor décor. They have a great selection of seasonal garden sculptures and items to make any garden come to life. JW’s prides itself on bringing unique items to their customers throughout every season. During the Christmas season, JW’s is full of beautiful Christmas embellishments alongside large Christmas trees that Jason personally decorates. JW’s Christmas creations have even caught the eye of Discover Oklahoma who will be featuring JW’s Nursery in December 2016.
When asked what he wants his customers to know about JW’s, Jason said, “Flowers, plants and sculptures might not be one of the top primary survival needs alongside food, shelter and water, but, it does make life a little easier to handle when you can come home to something that makes you smile and relax a little.” With that being said, the pursuit of happiness is really what we are all after in the end isn’t it?
