“Meet Me at the Clock” Celebration Planned for Historic Stock Exchange Clock Reveal

A familiar piece of Woodward history is getting ready to make its return!

Restoration work on the historic Stock Exchange Clock is now complete, and the community is invited to “Meet Me at the Clock” on Friday, October 9, at 6 p.m.

Presented by Stock Exchange Bank and the Woodward Rodders Car Club, the celebration will feature the long-awaited unveiling of the restored clock, along with a cruise-in, live music, and food trucks.

The historic clock was removed earlier this year for refurbishment after the Woodward Rodders Car Club initiated conversations about restoring the longtime landmark.

The project brought together the Woodward Rodders Car Club, Stock Exchange Bank, the City of Woodward, and local partners to help preserve and restore a recognizable piece of Woodward’s past.

Restoration work was completed by Kline Sign & Crane, which will also reinstall the clock at 9th Street and Texas Avenue. The pole where the clock was mounted will receive a fresh coat of paint using donated paint from previous Keep Oklahoma Beautiful projects.

The Woodward Rodders Car Club is encouraging vehicle owners to participate in the Clock Reveal Cruise-In, bringing classic cars, trucks, and other vehicles to help create a nostalgic atmosphere for the evening.

The event will take place in the parking area along Texas Avenue between 9th and 10th Streets, where community members can gather to celebrate the return of a landmark that has been part of Woodward for generations.
