The City of Woodward is excited to share an update on the upcoming distribution of its national feature with the educational television series Viewpoint with Dennis Quaid.

Earlier this year, a production crew spent a full day filming throughout Woodward to capture the people, places, partnerships, and community qualities that help make Woodward a great place to live, work, visit, and build a future.

The completed production will soon reach audiences through two separate distribution opportunities.

A national commercial featuring Woodward is currently scheduled to air during primetime programming on Fox Business Network on Wednesday, September 16. Exact airtimes are expected to be provided closer to the scheduled broadcast date and will be shared by the City of Woodward when they become available.

In addition, Woodward’s Viewpoint with Dennis Quaid educational segment is scheduled to begin distribution on September 21 to more than 170 participating Public Television stations nationwide.

The segment will be distributed as interstitial programming, for one full calendar year, meaning scheduling and availability may vary by station and market.

Because individual station schedules are determined independently, the City of Woodward does not yet have a complete list of local air dates or broadcast times. Additional viewing information will be shared as it becomes available.

The feature highlights Woodward’s approach to rural innovation, economic resilience, accessible leadership, community partnerships, and the opportunities available in northwest Oklahoma. Filming took place at locations throughout the community, providing an opportunity to showcase Woodward on a national platform.

“This project gave us an opportunity to tell Woodward’s story to a much broader audience,” said City Manager Shaun Barnett. “We are proud of the community we have built and grateful for the people, businesses, organizations, and partnerships that continue to move Woodward forward.”

The City encourages residents to watch its official communication channels for additional updates regarding confirmed airtimes and distribution information.
