Visit Woodward and the City of Woodward invite neighbors, community groups, and local businesses to come together for a night of fun, connection, and community spirit at National Night Out, happening Tuesday, August 5, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Crystal Beach Park.
Woodward joins more than 38 million neighbors across 17,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, and military bases worldwide in this annual celebration of unity and public safety.
National Night Out is more than just a night out—it’s a nationwide movement that strengthens the bond between first responders and the communities they serve. Sponsored nationally by NATW, 7-Eleven, ADT, Associa, AT&T, Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, FirstNet, L.E.A.D., Nintendo, Starbucks, and supported locally by Visit Woodward, this event promotes safer neighborhoods and stronger connections.
“National Night Out is a meaningful opportunity for our local police, fire departments, and emergency services to connect with the community and strengthen the bonds that make Woodward feel like family,” said Tourism Director Megan Johnston. “We’re proud to host this event and celebrate the partnerships that keep our town strong.”
As part of the celebration, Woodward residents are encouraged to turn on their porch lights, lock their doors, and spend the evening outdoors meeting neighbors, talking with first responders, and enjoying the summer evening together.
The event will feature free hot dogs cooked by the Woodward Elks Rodeo Committee and sponsored by Circle of Care, a hydration station with free popsicles sponsored by Pioneer, free watermelon sponsored by Visit Woodward and Woodward FFA, free snowcones sponsored by Medic Pharmacy, and games, plus music and interactive exhibits from the Woodward Police Department, Woodward County EMS, and Woodward Fire Department. Special appearances will also be made by the Mooreland, Vici, Ft. Supply, Sharon, and Mutual Fire Departments.
The Highlight: Regional Fire Department Water Parade
Get ready to cool off in the most epic way possible! The Regional Fire Department Water Parade is back, and it’s wetter than ever. Fire trucks from across the region will roll down the route spraying the crowd, and you're invited to spray back! Bring your super soakers and water guns, and take part in the wildest water fight of the summer. Water troughs will be available along the route for refills.
Please Note: No water balloons, umbrellas, or pop-up tents allowed. And while the troughs are for refilling, no swimming in them, please!
“This is a night for our nation to stand together and promote awareness, safety, and neighborhood unity,” said National Project Coordinator Matt Peskin. “When law enforcement and communities come together, amazing things can happen.”
Visit Woodward extends a huge thank you to all the local businesses, organizations, and community members helping make this event possible. Your support brings our community closer every year.
We can’t wait to see you there!
